PUBLIC NOTICE

A delegation from the Home Office is in Washington, D.C., from October 10, 2019 to October 30, 2019.

We invite Congolese who wish to restore their passports to present themselves from Monday to Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at the Embassy of the Republic of Congo, located at No: 1720 16th Street, NW, Washington, D.C., 20009.

The interested parties must bring documents justifying their Congolese nationality, namely:

  • A Copy of the Birth Certificate;
  • A Copy of the old Passport;
  • A copy of the Consular Card;
  • A copy of the Certificate of Nationality;
  • A copy of the Congolese National Identity Card;
  • Two passport photos with white background (American format).
     

The passport application fee is US $ 100 and the fees for legalization or obtaining administrative documents will be broken down as follows:

  • Consular Card: USD 30
  • Legalization of any document: 20 USD;
  • Certificate of Nationality: 20 USD
     

NOTE: Each applicant for a Congolese passport is requested to provide a photocopy for each of the documents justifying their Congolese nationality. The Embassy will not make a photocopy. Applicants who have neither the Certificate of Nationality nor the Consular card must first register with the Consular Service. Cash will be the sole means of payment. It is important to note that the Embassy will be closed on Monday, October 14, 2019, for Columbus Day.
